Mrs J Ward
Parent Governor

I am very pleased and privileged to have recently been appointed as a parent Governor at Crowlands Primary School.

So a little about me... I am married to Jason and we have one son, currently in Reception class here at Crowlands. I currently run a local website which provides parents with support and useful information about children’s services, groups and classes available in the Havering area but my background is firmly rooted in education.  I was a teaching assistant for 2 years in Northern Ireland and I have over 10 years’ experience as a primary teacher here in England. I have taught in 3 very different schools ranging from a small village primary school in Cambridgeshire to a large inner city school in Newham.  While teaching I held curriculum responsibilities for ICT, History and Outdoor Learning and have also experience in managing and coordinating educational visits across a school and in managing a school website.

I have a good understanding of the education system which I think will enable me to contribute positively to school life. I am committed to ensuring that our children have access to great learning opportunities which will help them to flourish and to reach their full potential. I feel passionately that the well-being of the whole school family, teachers, support staff and leaders, will create the very best learning environment for our children. I hope that in my time as a parent Governor I can have a positive impact and support the school to continue to grow and thrive.
