I have the pleasure of being appointed as a Co-opted Governor for the Growing Together Federation Governing Body.  This will be my first appointment on a governing board and I'm looking forward to fulfilling my roll.

I have served over 23 years in the Armed forces and have acquired a vast range of skills across many different appointments in my military career. Skills, which include leadership and management, health and Safety assurance, budget management, physical education planning, lesson delivery and project management, along with my experience and knowledge of the Army values and standards, will be invaluable in my role as Co-Opted Governor.

I've had close connections with Newtons Primary School over many years as the school provided a great foundation for my daughter's education and gave her the skills required to move onto secondary education and my son is still attending Newtons.

Myself being appointed as a Co-Opted Governor will give me and my family the chance to give back to the school for what they have provided us over the years
